3D Product Rendering for Manufacturers
3D catalog shots, product images in real projects, a 3D showroom on your website and AI try-on. All built from the product's technical drawing, to help you sell to architects, builders and retailers.
Definition
What is 3D product rendering
3D product rendering is the process of creating photorealistic images of a product from a digital model, without photographing it. The manufacturer sends the technical drawing (DWG, BIM, STEP or a spec sheet with dimensions), the studio models the item in 3D and generates images with controlled lighting, materials and finishes.
For those who sell to specifiers, such as architects, engineers and builders, the image is part of the product: it shows form, material and finish before the purchase. That is why Render Fabrik brings together, on this page, four services that share the same model: studio shots, lifestyle images, an interactive 3D showroom and AI try-on.
We start from your DWG, BIM or technical sheet and build a faithful 3D model that feeds the four services below.
Why 3D
Replaces photography, with more controlperfect angles, ideal lighting and endless variations without building a set
Real scalabilityhundreds of color and finish variations from a single 3D model
Visual consistency across the whole cataloga uniform photographic standard that strengthens the brand
Ready for e-commerceimages optimized for marketplaces, websites and online sales platforms
Lower cost per imagethe more products you have, the more you save compared with traditional photography

Studio
Studio shots of every product in your catalog, built from your DWG, BIM or spec sheet. One hero view and three detail views, all with the same lighting, angle and background.
- Starts from your technical file. DWG, BIM, STEP or spec sheet. The geometry comes from the drawing, with curves, joints and weaves at true dimensions, and the model is kept for the services that follow.
- One hero view and three detail views. Each product gets a presentation shot and three close-ups: profile, edge and finish. It is the set an architect needs to understand and specify the item.
- Same look across the whole catalog. Identical lighting, angle, background and framing on every item. The catalog gains visual unity, and new colors or variations can be added later without a new shoot.

Lifestyle
Your product installed on a job site, in a factory or in an architectural project, at the right scale and fit. Context images for catalogs, websites, ads and presentations.
- Real applications of the product. Living rooms, balconies, offices, hotels and commercial areas, with the product at the right scale and installed the way it is on site.
- Fixed packages by quantity. Packages of 24, 48 or 96 images, planned by application and by color, to cover the whole line with a coherent set.
- Ready for every channel. Catalog, website, ads, social media and presentations for architects, with resolution for both print and web.

3D Showroom
Your product rotating on the manufacturer's website: visitors spin it, zoom in, see dimensions over the model, place it in their own space with augmented reality and request BIM, DWG or a quote.
- On your site, with one code snippet. The technology is ours and runs on our servers. Your team pastes the code into the product page and the Showroom appears, with lightweight loading and no dependence on a third-party platform.
- Built for specifiers. Dimensions over the model and buttons for BIM and DWG take the architect straight to the right file. Contact with your sales team arrives with the viewed product attached.
- Augmented reality on mobile. Customers place the product in their own space, at true scale, right in the phone browser. No app, no sign-up.
Simulation of your customer's flow: they upload a photo of the space, pick a finish and see the product placed in it. The images were pre-generated for this demonstration; in the real try-on, the AI processes each customer's photo.
AI Try-On
The customer uploads a photo of the project, picks a color and finish, and sees your product applied. The result goes to the manufacturer's sales team with the photo, color and finish chosen.
- Decisions on the spot. Customers who see the product in their own project decide faster. The try-on removes the most common doubt before the quote request.
- Leads with context. Every simulation reaches your sales team with the project photo, color and finish chosen, which speeds up the quote and qualifies the conversation.
- Your catalog, not a generic one. The profile, colors and finishes of your catalog. Customers try the product you actually sell, not an approximation.
Comparison
3D rendering or product photography?
For catalogs, websites and technical material, 3D images solve what traditional photography makes slow or expensive. See where each one fits.
| Situation | 3D rendering | Traditional photography |
|---|---|---|
| Product that doesn't exist yet | Ready to promote from the design | Needs a prototype or a production run |
| New color or finish | Swapped on the model, no new shoot | A new shoot for every variation |
| Catalog consistency | Same lighting, angle and background on every item | Varies with the day and the photographer |
| Image in a project or setting | Setting composed around the product | Depends on a finished project and permission |
| Interactive use on the website | The same model powers a 3D showroom and augmented reality | Requires a separate production |
| Technical details | Cutaways, close-ups and views a camera can't reach | Limited to what the lens can capture |
How it works
From technical drawing to catalog in 30 business days
Briefing and files
You send the product list and the technical files. We check what is complete and what needs a spec sheet.
3D modeling
We reproduce each product with its real curves, thicknesses and finishes, from the DWG, BIM or dimensions.
Preview and adjustments
We show a first batch so you can approve lighting, angle and finish, with up to two rounds of adjustments at no extra cost.
Catalog production
With the preview approved, we produce the rest in the same style and deliver the high-resolution files in 30 business days.
Interactive tools
If contracted, we install the 3D showroom and AI try-on on your site, with hosting and updates by Render Fabrik.
Questions
Frequently asked questions about product rendering
What is 3D product rendering?
It is the creation of photorealistic images of a product from a 3D model, without photographing it. The manufacturer sends the technical drawing, the studio models the item and generates catalog images, lifestyle images and interactive versions for the website.
Does 3D rendering replace product photography?
For catalogs, websites, marketplaces and material for architects, yes, and with advantages: the product doesn't need to physically exist, new colors are added without a new shoot and all images follow the same style. Photography remains useful for documenting a finished project or a product in real use.
Do I need a finished product to get started?
No. We work from the design: DWG, BIM, STEP or a spec sheet with dimensions. This lets you promote launches before series production.
Which files do you need?
Ideally a DWG, BIM or STEP file of the product. When only a spec sheet exists, we model from the dimensions and label the image as estimated until your team checks the measurements.
How long until the catalog is ready?
The standard turnaround is 30 business days, counted from receiving the files and confirming the order. Each batch goes through a preview and up to two rounds of adjustments. The 3D showroom and the try-on have timelines agreed at contracting.
Can I contract only part of the services?
Yes. Studio shots are the foundation and their modeling is reused for the other services. AI try-on can be contracted on its own, from photos or textures of the finishes, and the 3D showroom on its own includes product modeling.
Do you deliver the 3D file of the product?
Yes, as a separate service: textured GLB, FBX and OBJ files. The modeling used for the images is Render Fabrik's internal work and is not included by default.
How do I request a proposal?
Contact Render Fabrik via WhatsApp or the contact form, with the type of product and the approximate number of items. The proposal is tailored to your catalog.
